Daba, a leading fintech company revolutionizing investment in Africa, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Abidjan. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing our daily financial operations, ensuring compliance, and managing risk as we scale our platform to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and bookkeeping for our trading platform and brokerage arm
- Develop and implement robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and maintain accurate books and records
- Oversee the reconciliation of trading accounts, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of trades and management of client funds
- Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements to support the growth of our trading platform and brokerage services
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, regulatory reports, and management reports to provide insights into the financial performance of our trading and brokerage operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support data-driven decision making
- Partner with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to conduct regular audits, maintain the highest standards of financial integrity, and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in the trading and brokerage industry to adapt our processes and policies accordingly
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in financial operations, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in Africa
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring high-performing finance teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Fluency in French and English
